Redbreast 12 Year Old Cask Strength is a single pot still Irish whisky, made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills. It is bottled at cask strength and comes in a 750ml bottle.
It is matured in a combination of bourbon-seasoned American oak barrels and Oloroso sherry-seasoned Spanish oak butts, which gives the sherry character Redbreast is known for.
The nose offers exotic fruit with a little citrus, dried apricot and sultana, alongside spice and toasted wood. The palate is rich and mellow, with fruit, spice, vanilla and a touch of oak.
