Redbreast 18 Years Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey and the first permanent addition to the Redbreast range in four years. It is bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) in a 75cl bottle.
It is matured in ex-bourbon barrels together with casks seasoned with oloroso sherry, cream sherry and ruby port. The cream sherry casks come from the Antonio Páez Lobato cooperage and are rarely seen in Redbreast.
The nose brings blackcurrant, raspberry, glazed cherry, hazelnut chocolate and toasted almonds. The palate is full and rounded, with ginger, liquorice, dried fruit and orange peel. The finish is rich and lasting.
