Redemption Sur Lee is a straight rye whiskey at 47% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. Its name comes from the French winemaking practice known as sur lie.
It is made from a pre-Prohibition style rye mash bill. Whiskey lees are added to the barrels, which are rotated from time to time during maturation, a technique the makers describe as new to the category.
It is described as deep and complex, with a bold, rich taste, a hint of rye spice and a silky finish.
