A wheated bourbon from Redwood Empire in Sonoma County, California, bottled at 94 proof in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend of 122 barrels, made from a mash bill of 59% corn, 30% wheat, 6% rye and 5% malted barley.
The name comes from Colonel James Armstrong, who fought for the Union, settled in Northern California and preserved the land now known as Armstrong Woods by gifting it to his daughter.
The colour is a deep golden hue. The palate is soft and rounded, with ripe stone fruit, vanilla, honeyed grain, a hint of strawberry and gentle baking spice, ending on a smooth oak finish.
