Rock Hill Farms is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, bottled at 50% (100 proof). Each bottle comes from one barrel of new charred American oak, with a reported age of eight to ten years.
It is made from Buffalo Trace's higher rye Mash Bill #2, and comes in a decanter etched with horses, trees and a barn, closed with a glass stopper.
The colour is deep amber. The nose offers summer cherries, baked apple, vanilla, cinnamon bark and charred oak. The palate is full, with dark chocolate, salted caramel, toasted oak, dried fruit and moderate rye spice. The finish is long and smooth, with toasted nuts and brown sugar.
