Rock Island Blended Malt Sherry Edition (Douglas Laing) (70cl, 46.8%)

Rock Island Sherry Edition is a limited-edition blended malt from Douglas Laing, bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is built around malts from Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney. Its final stretch of maturation took place in selected Spanish sherry butts, giving a sherried style with coastal salinity set against dried fruit sweetness and warming spice. The nose has raisins, toasted brown sugar, sea spray and cured meats. Soft peat smoke and salted crackers meet strawberry jam and stem ginger on the palate, and the finish is lasting salted caramel and cinnamon.
