Rod & Hammer's Cask Rye Whiskey is an American rye with a mash bill of at least 51% rye, alongside corn and malted barley. It is aged in new charred American oak barrels, which give the spirit a deep amber colour along with toasted vanilla, caramel and subtle oak tannins.
On the nose there is black pepper, clove and cinnamon, with dried fruit and caramel. The palate brings spicy rye grain, baking spices, honeyed malt and a touch of oak sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with lingering spice.
