A red wine from Podere Vecciano, made from Sangiovese in Romagna. It is produced from hand-harvested grapes in limited quantities, with biodynamic cultivation. The wine shows an intense ruby colour, with aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, spice and a light touch of vanilla from ageing in barrique. On the palate it is robust yet balanced, with present but not intrusive tannins and lively acidity. Tobacco and leather develop on the finish. It suits Romagna dishes such as tagliatelle al ragù, roasts and aged cheeses.
