Romagna Sangiovese DOP Podere La Berta

Romagna Sangiovese DOP from Podere La Berta is a red wine made from Sangiovese grown in Romagna. It is vinified by traditional methods, with ageing partly in steel and partly in barrique. The wine has an intense ruby red colour. On the nose there are ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, with slightly spicy notes and a hint of vanilla. On the palate the acidity is balanced by soft tannins and good persistence, giving a medium-bodied wine. It suits grilled meat and medium-aged cheeses.
