This Sangiovese di Romagna DOC Riserva from Podere La Berta is made exclusively from selected Sangiovese grapes, with careful vinification and long ageing in oak barrels.
The nose gives ripe red fruits, cherries and plums, enriched by spicy notes of vanilla, leather and a delicate hint of tobacco. On the palate it is well structured, with soft tannins and good acidity, and the finish is elegant and harmonious with notes of dark chocolate and liquorice.
It pairs well with red meat, braised dishes and mature cheeses, and is best served at 16-18 C.
