Romana Black Sambuca (75cl)

Romana Black is an Italian anise liqueur from the Pallini family, who have produced spirits in Rome since 1875. It was created in 1999 as a dark companion to the clear sambuca. Black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) gives it a deep, jet-black colour and a darker berry character alongside the anise. The recipe also uses star anise, witch elder bush, liquorice and a natural formula the family keeps to itself. Adding water turns the liquid a vivid blue. The Pallini family has held exclusive rights to the Sambuca Romana name since 1964. It comes in a 75cl bottle.
