A red Aglianico del Vulture from Cantine del Notaio.
It has a decided profile typical of Aglianico, with ripe red and black fruit, delicate spice and an earthy hint. The palate is supported by present but not aggressive tannins, with acidity that keeps the wine lively and balances the fruit, and a clean finish with fruity returns and slight dryness.
It suits grilled red meats, roasts, mushroom dishes and rich sauces, and can also be tried with aged cheeses or rustic traditional dishes.
