A Rosso Piceno Superiore from Saladini Pilastri, from the province of Ascoli Piceno in the Marche. It is made mainly from Sangiovese, enriched with Montepulciano, and reflects the structure and harmony of the style. Prolonged ageing in wood gives an enveloping character, with intense aromas of ripe red fruits, spicy notes and a light toasted note, plus soft, well-integrated tannin. It is rich and persistent on the palate, balanced by pleasant acidity. It pairs with roasted meats, game and aged cheeses.
