Rossville Union Master Crafted is a straight rye whiskey from the Ross & Squibb Distillery (MGP) in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. It is aged for 5 years in new charred American oak and bottled at 47% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The whiskey blends MGP's two rye mash bills: one of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, the other of 51% rye, 45% corn and 4% malted barley. It won a gold medal at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Tasting notes describe sweet caramel on the nose, then a fruit-forward palate with a smoky, spicy body of rye grain, brown sugar and baking spice. The finish is clean.
