Royal Brackla – 12 Year Old 2012 Old Malt Cask HL21539 (70cl, 50%)

This is a single cask Royal Brackla from the Highlands, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2025 at 12 years old and 50%. It was matured in a refill hogshead and bottled as 110 bottles in the Old Malt Cask series from Hunter Laing. Hunter Laing is a family company that has made its name with single cask bottlings, and Old Malt Cask is its series for them. The nose offers peaches and cream, milk chocolate and oak. On the palate are crème brûlée, freshly cut grass and oranges, and the finish is long with lingering spice.
