This is a 12 year old Royal Brackla single malt, finished in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
Royal Brackla was founded in 1812 and received its Royal status from King William IV in 1833. The sherry finish is added to the soft, fruity house style of the distillery.
The nose brings sherry aromas, buttery barley and subtle stone fruit. On the palate come peach, apricot, berries and cherries, which gradually give way to chocolate, nuts, brown sugar and spice. The finish is sweet and slightly dry.
