Royal Brackla 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky from the Royal Brackla Distillery, founded in 1812 near Cawdor Castle. It is bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered, in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured in first-fill, refill and recharred American oak casks, then finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is delicate and floral, with fresh hay, pear drops, warm shortbread, light honey and citrus oil. The palate is creamy and smooth, with apricot, green apple, sweet almonds, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is medium and clean, with oak dryness, vanilla and a hint of malted barley.
