Royal Brackla 15 2011/2026 - Murray McDavid Benchmark - PX Sherry Cask

This is a 15 year old Royal Brackla, a Highland single malt distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2026 by Murray McDavid for its Benchmark series. Only 928 bottles were filled. The whisky began its maturation in sherry casks and was then finished in Pedro Ximénez barriques from the Ximénez-Spínola bodegas. Royal Brackla has been distilling since 1812 and received a royal warrant from William IV in 1833. The nose is milk chocolate and walnuts with raw biscuit dough and creamy malt. On the palate come juicy berries, red apple and dried cranberries, then fudge and cinnamon, leading to a long finish.
