Royal Brackla 18 Year Old Palo Cortado Finish is a Highland single malt from the distillery known as The King's Own Whisky. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky is matured in oak casks and then finished in Palo Cortado sherry casks, which bring a nutty, slightly dry sherry character.
The nose offers fruit cake, apricot jam and orange peel with roasted nuts and honeycomb. On the palate are sultanas, dates and candied citrus peel with toffee, vanilla cream and toasted almonds. The finish is long, with dried fruits, walnuts, soft spice and cocoa.
