This is a single cask Royal Brackla, distilled on 24 March 2009 and bottled on 1 April 2021 at twelve years old. It was matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel and released in The Single Cask series, with 232 bottles filled.
The nose is gentle, with ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg, fresh malt, oak and bright citrus. Citrus dominates the palate, alongside ginger, barley sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and a suggestion of toffee. The finish is long, returning to ginger, barley sugar and citrus, with an intense woody spice.
