Royal Brackla 21 Year Old Sherry Finish is a Highland single malt from the Cawdor Estate distillery near Nairn, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non chill-filtered and natural in colour.
The whisky matured in oak for many years, followed by an extended finish in sherry casks. The distillery was historically known as "The King's Own Whisky".
The nose is richly sherried, with fig, date, sultana, orange marmalade and poached pear. The palate brings fruitcake, dark chocolate and candied citrus peel, with Demerara sugar, toffee and walnut. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruits, cocoa and toasted almonds.
