This is an 8 year old Royal Brackla from North Star Spirits, taken from a single Pedro Ximenez sherry barrel for the independent bottler's 23rd series. It is bottled at 55.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and 272 bottles were filled.
The spirit was distilled in November 2014 and bottled in September 2023. The PX cask is described as bringing dryness, with charred caramel over vanilla and oak, plus chocolate, raisins, dates and figs.
The tasting notes describe a nose of dark chocolate liqueur and cocoa powder, more dark chocolate on the palate and a finish that stays intensely chocolatey.
