This is a Chinese New Year special edition of Royal Salute, built on the 21 year old Signature Blend and made to mark the arrival of the New Year.
The illustration on the bottle draws on traditional Chinese symbols, including the dragon and lucky knotwork.
The nose is fruity, with sweet pears, citrus and autumn flowers, then vanilla, dry oak and hints of sherry and smoke. On the palate come orange marmalade and fresh pear, then spice and hazelnut, ending with a little smokiness.
