Ruadh Mhor 11 Year Old 2011/2023 (70cl, 54.9%)

Ruadh Mhor is the peated version of Glenturret. This single malt from the Highlands was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023 at 54.9% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a refill Bourbon hogshead, number 172, which gave 335 bottles. The label belongs to a series of cat-themed bottlings and honours Towser the mouser, the Glenturret distillery cat credited with catching almost 30,000 mice and remembered there with a statue. Peat takes centre stage, with aggressive smoke and flames, a petrochemical note mixed with tonic water, and ash and burnt rubber.
