Rum Sonson 10 Récolte 2023 from Clairin is an agricole rum from Haiti, made with locally grown sugar cane. It is presented with an intense amber colour from ageing.
The nose shows vibrant aromas of ripe tropical fruit such as mango and banana, with cinnamon and clove, plus light notes of wood and damp earth. The palate is enveloping, soft yet structured, balancing sweetness and freshness, with a long, clean finish. It can be enjoyed neat, perhaps with a cigar, or in sophisticated cocktails.
