Russell's Reserve Private Barrel Selection is an 8 year old Kentucky straight bourbon in a 750ml bottle. It is bottled from individual barrels at 110 proof (55% ABV) and is non-chill filtered.
The barrels are charred to the deep No. 4 alligator level. Each has its own personality, yet the toffee and vanilla tones remain, alongside rich oak and an intense spiciness.
Coppery red in colour, it has a nose of vanilla, nuts and brown sugar with oak and cinnamon. The palate is spicy, bold and complex, with creamy toffee, liquorice and vanilla, and the finish is sweet spice with malty notes.
