Russell's Reserve Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey in a 75cl bottle at 52% ABV (104 proof). The mashbill is 51% rye, 37% corn and 12% malted barley, and the whiskey is copper in colour.
The nose is described as faint gingerbread and hay against heavier caramel and rye grain. On the palate come rye grain, caramel and kettle corn, with a creamy texture that brings out a lemon note, plus a little sweetness, butterscotch and vanilla. The finish is smooth and oaky.
