Russell's Reserve Single Rickhouse 2022 is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Wild Turkey, bottled at 52.3% in a 75cl bottle. It is a limited annual release. Every barrel comes from one warehouse, Camp Nelson C, part of Wild Turkey's off-site aging campus in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Camp Nelson takes its name from a Civil War-era freedmen's settlement that stood nearby. Rather than blending across sites, the release shows what a single rickhouse does to Wild Turkey's high-rye mashbill. The nose offers toasted oak, vanilla, caramelised sugar and warm rye spice. The palate is rich with toffee, baking spice, dark honey and charred oak. The finish is warm oak and peppery spice, with a lingering sweetness.
