Salice Salentino IGT Liante Castello Monaci

A red wine from Puglia made by Castello Monaci, celebrating native grapes. It is mainly Negroamaro with a small percentage of Malvasia Nera. The name Liante refers to the cold wind from the Adriatic. The wine has an intense ruby red colour with violet reflections. The nose offers ripe red fruit such as cherry and blackberry, spice, aromatic herbs and a light touch of vanilla from wood ageing. On the palate it is robust yet harmonious, with soft integrated tannins, balanced freshness and acidity, and a long finish. It suits Mediterranean dishes, grilled red meat and aged cheese.
