The colour is dark straw. The nose opens on camphor, beeswax and Tabasco, then moves to herbal tea, dried pear and banana, fudge, pollen and a little marzipan. The palate is peatier than expected, with caramel, burnt cake, plenty of spice and growing ginger. The finish is long, with a grassy edge.
