Sangiovese DOC Smeriglio - Baracchi

A red wine from Baracchi, made from Sangiovese and offered as an honest portrait of the grape. It shows a bright ruby colour, with delicate cherry and small red fruit notes, floral hints and a light spicy touch. On the palate it has good acidity, smooth tannins and a slender structure, with a clean, pleasant finish. It suits everyday pairings such as tomato-based pasta, light white and red meats, pizza and semi-hard cheeses. Serve at around 16-18 °C, with brief aeration if desired. It is intended for medium-term drinking, keeping its freshness when stored in a cool place away from light.
