Santaleza Añejo Tequila (40%)

Santaleza Añejo Tequila is an aged Mexican tequila from Los Altos de Jalisco. It is made from 100% fully matured Blue Weber agave, slow-cooked in masonry ovens, naturally fermented and double distilled in copper stills. The spirit is aged for at least 16 months in first-fill American bourbon barrels. It balances oak spice and warm sweetness with agave character, and is suited to neat sipping or cocktails such as an Añejo Old-Fashioned, Tequila Manhattan or Añejo Sour. On the nose there is agave, oak and leather, with honeysuckle, toasted orange peel and gentle spice. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied, with rich agave sweetness, oak-derived vanilla, soft earth, leather, dried fruit and citrus, with white pepper spice building towards the finish. The finish is long, with oak spice, gentle heat, lingering dried fruit and earthy complexity.
