This is the 2023 release of Sazerac Rye, an 18 year old straight rye whiskey from the USA.
The barrels were filled between the autumn of 2004 and the spring of 2005, and the whiskey matured in Warehouses K, L and M.
The nose is dried orange, rye grain, clove and aniseed. On the palate there is black pepper, a little vanilla and plenty of oak. The finish is floral, with honey and tobacco leaf.
