Sazerac Rye 6 Year Old is a rye whiskey aged six years, sold in a 75cl bottle and made as a tribute to a New Orleans landmark.
Its name recalls the Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans, where the Sazerac cocktail was born. Thomas H. Handy, owner of Peychaud's Bitters, acquired the establishment and sold bottles of the drink, which was first crafted with Cognac.
