Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey is a Kentucky rye made at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. It takes its name from the Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans, where the city's official cocktail was born. The whiskey is aged for roughly six years in charred new American oak barrels and bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings clove, vanilla, anise and candied spice. On the palate there is dark chocolate, black pepper, citrus peel and warm oak, leading to a crisp, clean finish.
