Scallywag 18 Year Old is a Speyside blended malt from Douglas Laing, made with Macallan, Glenrothes and Mortlach. It comes in a 70cl bottle, with 2610 bottles produced.
The final years of its maturation were spent in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Jerez in southern Spain.
The nose offers dark chocolate truffles, spiced orange peel and toasted walnuts. On the palate, treacle toffee and black cherries come with a whisper of cinnamon. The finish is long and warming, with oak spice, espresso and dried figs.
