Oloroso sherry finish
This is an 18 year old heavily peated Highland single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, in the Seaweed series. A quarter of the whisky was finished in fresh oloroso casks before bottling; the remaining three quarters were not. It is bottled at 40%, without chill-filtering or added colour, in a 70cl bottle. The nose has woody clove, warm asphalt, charred pineapple, peach and nectarine, then apricot cream, vanilla and meaty, ashy peat smoke. The palate is sooty chimney smoke, herbal peat and old oak, with dates and salted chocolate almonds against savoury notes of cured ham. The finish brings coastal bonfire smoke, smoked herbs and vanilla wafers, then silky stone fruit.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
