Selkie Blended Malt Batch 003 (50cl, 50%)

Selkie Batch 003 is a blended malt from The House of MacDuff, made by marrying peated Highland malts from several distilleries. Most of the whisky comes from former bourbon casks. It was bottled in 2022 at 50% in a 50cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour. The name refers to the selkies of legends from Scotland's northern isles, seal people who take human form by shedding their skins. The illustration is by the Italian artist collective Malleus, with lettering and layout by the designer Ryan. Smoke, vanilla and marzipan come through on the nose. The palate is full and robust with a restrained peat note, and the finish is long and sweet.
