A blended malt Scotch whisky made from 16 single malts aged between 8 and 12 years. The blend is matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration.
The name recalls an old farming story of hiding whisky from the taxman in barrels marked Sheep Dip.
Tasting notes point to a nose of warm honey, ripe fruit and gentle malt sweetness with a little oak. The palate brings toffee, vanilla, spiced apple and dried fruit, and the finish is of medium length with soft spice, sweet malt and a touch of citrus zest.
