Sheep Dip is a blended malt Scotch whisky made from 16 single malts from the Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside and Islay, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. The component whiskies are between 8 and 20 years old.
They are matured in first-fill sherry casks, first-fill bourbon barrels and refill oak. Spencerfield Spirits created the blend, and Ian Macleod Distillers has produced it since 2016.
The nose is soft and creamy, with pear, melon and honeyed toffee over a trace of coastal air. The palate is malty and gentle, with toffee, a touch of smoke and a dash of pepper. The finish is medium, smooth and warming.
