Shenk's Homestead is a Kentucky sour mash whiskey from the 2023 release, made with a substantial amount of rye. Malted rye in the recipe gives this edition its particular character. It is bottled at 45.6% in a 75cl bottle.
Maturation used two different barrel profiles. One portion aged in seasoned wood that had been naturally air-dried for 18 months, with a signature toast and char. The other portion went into toasted French oak barrels made from wood air-dried for 24 months and sourced from the Vosges region of France.
