Shetland Reel is a blended malt Scotch whisky created by The Shetland Distillery Company on the island of Unst. It is made from single malts from Speyside, the Highlands and Islay, blended on mainland Scotland, then reduced to 47% ABV with Unst water and bottled by hand in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has soft peat smoke, butter, vanilla and toffee with dried fruits. The palate is rich and rounded, with dates, raisins, dark fudge and honeyed malt, balanced by gentle peat smoke and black pepper. The finish is warming, with dried fruit, soft smoke, pepper and a touch of oak.
