Shinshu Mars Distillery – Twin Alps Blended Japanese Whisky (75cl, 40%)

Twin Alps is a blended Japanese whisky from Shinshu Mars Distillery, in a 750ml bottle at 40% abv. The Iwai name honours Kiichiro Iwai, the mentor who sent Masataka Taketsuru to Scotland to learn whisky-making. Taketsuru later returned to Japan and presented Iwai with his report, known as the Taketsuru Notes. The blend is described as well balanced, with pleasant tones of oak.
