Shizuoka Prologue K is a Japanese single malt and the first release from the Shizuoka distillery. It was made in a still that came from the defunct Karuizawa distillery, with equipment bought by the owners of Shizuoka when it was founded. The malt was half imported and half home-grown. The whisky was aged for three years in bourbon barrels and bottled for release in December 2020.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
