Sia is a blended Scotch whisky in a 750ml bottle at 43% ABV, bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. Ltd. It combines Speyside, Highland and Islay malts with grain whisky, in a blend of 40% malt and 60% grain. Teaninich in the Highlands supplies the main malt, and Islay adds a small share of peat smoke. Maturation is in refill and first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks.
Vanilla, caramel, citrus peel and baking spice lead the nose, with a little smoke beneath. The palate is honey, vanilla, lemon zest and mandarin, later crème brûlée and toasted walnut bread. The finish is long and smooth, with hazelnut and toffee.
