Silver Seal Royal Brackla 15 Years Old Single Cask (70cl, 59.3%)

This is a single cask Royal Brackla from the Highlands, bottled by Silver Seal at 15 years old and 59.3% ABV. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The spirit was distilled in 2007 and matured in a refill hogshead, cask number 11064, before bottling in 2023. The release is limited to 217 bottles. The nose combines vanilla, butter, citrus peel, caramel and toffee. On the palate there is candied sweetness and some nuttiness, followed by salted caramel and spice. The finish is long, with warm cloves and cinnamon. With a little water, the citrus grows stronger and sweet mandarin comes forward, alongside baked tart, minerality and a hint of salt.
