This is a Highland single malt from Royal Brackla, part of the Single Malts of Scotland range from Elixir Distillers. It was distilled in 2014, matured for nine years in a bourbon barrel and bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition.
The nose is floral, with honeysuckle, tarragon and rose petal water, plus floral honey, nougat and vanilla shortbread. The palate is buttery, with a twist of lemon oil, black pepper on fresh Scottish strawberries, and lemon drizzle cake. The finish is medium in length, with buttermilk, warming wood spice and subtle red fruits.
