Singleton 12 Year Old (40%)

Singleton 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt made at the Dufftown distillery. Fermentation runs for at least 75 hours, and the spirit is distilled in pear-shaped stills. It matured for twelve years in bourbon casks and then Oloroso sherry casks. The colour is deep gold with copper reflections. The nose begins with polished wood and toasted hazelnuts, then moves to baked apple, dried dates, brown sugar and liquorice. The palate is silky, with blackcurrant, brown sugar and a note of espresso. The finish is long, dry and warming.
