Skellig Triple Cask is a limited edition single pot still Irish whiskey from the Skellig coast in County Kerry, bottled at 43%. It is the first expression in the Six18 Step Collection, named after the 618 steps built by monks on Skellig Michael. It was a Master winner at the Irish Whiskey Masters 2023.
The whiskey was matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, a nod to the long maritime trade between the Skellig coast and European ports. Part of it also spent a short time in a former peated cask, adding a subtle touch of peat.
It is described as full of spice and fruit, with just a hint of peat, flavourful yet soft.
