Slane Castle Triple Casked is a blended Irish whiskey made at the Slane Distillery on the Conyngham estate in County Meath. It combines toasted grain and malt whiskeys.
The whiskey is matured across three kinds of cask: seasoned (used) casks, virgin oak and Oloroso sherry. Each contributes its own character, which gives the blend its oak and spice and a layered feel.
The palate is smooth, with oak and spice running through it, and the finish is balanced and smooth.
